Final Thoughts: Excellent show by Ring of Honor here. The opener of Titus/Cabana was fun, but a decent match. DCFC/Up in Smoke was a good match, which I thought should’ve been the opener. Up in Smoke was really fun to watch and I really hope they get more bookings with ROH. In a rematch from Final Battle ’08, Claudio & Omega put on a very good match. Bret Hart made an appearance to a huge pop and put over NYC & the fans. The Four Corner Survival match was surprisingly very good. Well booked and Redwood actually impressed me in this match. Ladder War II was simply amazing. Some of the spots they pulled out were total markouts and considering Eddie Edwards had a broken elbow, it was even more impressive. Hero/Kingston was the weakest match of the night. Got way too much time and dragged on. Aries vs. Petey for the strap was a very good match although Petey to me doesn’t step up his game in the Indies. Briscoes/TYB was a bit disappointing but still a very faced paced match. Nigel & Danielson went head to head for the very last time in ROH and put on the MOTN. Really emotional afterwards when Nigel & Bryan made their speeches. The show ended with The Final Countdown being played as Danielson went around the ring with the fans and a final ROH chant. Really really great show and definitely recommend it to any ROH fan and anyone who wants to get into the promotion.
