Final Thoughts: For the most part, this was a good show. The US Title match opened up the show and I thought it did it’s job of getting the crowd hyped. Decent, but it was a fun match with a well booked finish. No idea why Rey/Jericho was the 2nd match on this card but nonetheless a very very good match where Jericho won the Intercontinental Championship. The Samoan Strap Match was surprisingly good and probably the best strap match WWE has had in recent years. The 4 Way for the ECW Championship was very good as well. The Hardcore rules were used well and we saw Tommy Dreamer become the new ECW Champion. Skipping the Hog Pen match, we had Randy Orton vs. Batista in a Steel Cage match for the WWE Championship. Batista suffered a torn bicep in the match so I’m not quite sure if that’s the reason why the match was so short. For the time it was given, it was fun to watch and Batista would win the title but be written off the next night on RAW by an attack from Legacy. Cena/Show in a Submission match was absolutely awful. The worst part about it was that it got nearly 20 minutes. Match was boring and the crowd was dead for most of it. The main event between Jeff Hardy & Edge was MOTN. Great spots and another title changed hands as Hardy became the new World Heavyweight Champion. That wouldn’t be the last title change as CM Punk cashed in his MITB and defeated Hardy to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. This show as a whole is pretty easy to sit through so I would recommend it regardless of match ratings.
